Lessons From A Sabbath Lunch (Luke 14:1-24)

It was typically an act of hospitality and courtesy to invite a rabbi or teacher into one's home on the Sabbath. Such is the case with Jesus in Luke 14:1. Jesus has been invited "into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath..." In this Sabbath luncheon, Jesus teaches some valuable lessons and even though we can't dine with Him right now we can learn a few Lessons from a Sabbath Lunch.
