In part 1 of “Postmodernism and the Emerging Church” we discussed how many Christian leaders and authors are redefining Biblical terms and concepts such as sin, salvation, good news, gospel, heaven, and hell. In this lesson we want to notice how the heretical hijacking of Christian terminology is leading to a vast alteration of the mission of the church. So, what are some of the points of emphasis and initiatives in the “Emerging Church’s” reconstructed mission? Unsurprisingly, it sounds a lot more like our culture than it does Christ!
